Coca-Cola: Rare 1902 "Girl With Feathered Hat" Calendar, Exceptional Colors. The colors of this piece are astounding, every intricate shading of the original lithograph strong, most especially the reds and pinks. But know the Clark image has been trimmed to 9½ x 7½" in an effort to maximize its aesthetic appeal, ridding it of a taped, color copy section missing at top and chips along the edges. The calendar was professionally matted and framed in gilt wood to 18½ x 12½". The January calendar sheet appears to be a clean digital copy, but the stone litho portion is absolutely original with stunning colors, and again rare in spite of trimming. Estimated Value $800 - UP

From 1916, a rare, flat-mount metal sign manufactured by Stelad Signs, Passaic Metal Ware Co., with the image "Elaine Holding Glass" in quite fine condition. This self-framed sign was meant to promote fountain sales of Coca-Cola and clearly this sign was well kept for 100+ years. We note two rubs on her forearm and elbow, the most minimum of scratches, and what appears to be an area of light spotting of Coca-Cola syrup, which is barely visible even up close. Otherwise this is a wonderful piece and would prove a significant addition to any collection. 30 x 20". Estimated Value $2,000 - UP

Coca-Cola: 1919 Antique Calendar "Girl With Knitting Bag and Bottle". The first known Coca-Cola calendar was issued by the company in 1891. But by the first decade of the 20th Century the company copyrighted stunning images of popular, beautiful models and entertainers and enlisted some of the finest printers using stone lithography in the nations. Coca-Cola, Two Antique Calendars: 1921 "Autumn Girl and the 1925 "Girl At Party". Two 1920s vintage original Coca-Cola calendars:
1.) The 1921 "Autumn Girl" calendar with the model illustrated in a lovely upscale garden setting. Note also a bottle to her left on display atop the estate's elegant bench, eliminating the need for two different versions of the same calendar (only displaying a bottle or a glass) as was done several times in previous years. Calendar is in fair to good condition with roll creases throughout, no metal strips, some silverfish damage (one tiny section in litho, but certainly in lower right corner of calendar pad). Further the poster exhibits fading primarily the pink and rose tones. 32 x 12" and framed to 34 x 14".
2.) 1925, "Girl At Party" dressed to the nines wearing a blue turban, a white fox stole, and holding a glass of Coca-Cola. Examined in frame, calendar is without metal strips, however the full pad of calendar pages are intact. Condition of lithograph is fine with the barest minimum of creasing or border chips. However we note a slight fading of pink tones in the face and dress yet it still displays nicely. 24¼ x 11¾" handsomely framed to 29 x 16½". Estimated Value $300 - UP

Coca-Cola Calendars: Two Examples from the 1920s, "Flapper Girl" and "Girl With Tennis Racquet" 1923 and 1926. The first known Coca-Cola calendar was issued by the company in 1891. But by the first decade of the 20th Century the company copyrighted stunning images of popular, beautiful models and entertainers and enlisted some of the finest printers of stone lithography in the nation. Antique calendars are some of the most prized treasures by collectors, due to how rare most are and certainly how beautiful. Offered here are two vintage original calendars. 1.) From 1926, "Girl With Tennis Racquet" in good condition. Calendar has tears and creases throughout, is missing metal strips, with tape on verso and only one month remaining from the original pad. But this calendar could be restored beautifully by a competent paper restoration studio to address the condition issues because the colors are excellent. 18½ x 19". 2.) "Flapper Girl" from 1923 is in only fair condition. The calendar is heavily toned, has tape on verso to hold in check a deep crease at shoulder level of model as well as tape along calendar edges to hold in check chipping. Calendar does have its top metal strip and full pad, but time has faded "Flapper Girl", to an almost sepia tint, which admittedly one would see as a stage or film prop, and that in itself has appeal. 24¾ x 11¾" Both calendars are unframed and in Mylar sleeves. Antique calendars are some of the most prized treasures by collectors due to how rare most are and certainly how beautiful. With the 1927 calendar, Coca-Cola provided an area (referred to as the "privilege panel") for stores to be able to print their names and location. An excellent example is offered here for a Riker's Drug Store in Lewiston, ME. We note only age toning and one small smudge between the numbers of 27 and 28 on the full calendar pad, otherwise excellent. This piece would prove a fine addition to any collection. Coca-Cola: Extremely Rare, Original, 50th Anniversary Poster 1886-1936, Recently Conservation Backed and Restored on Linen. Very difficult to find 50th Anniversary Coca-Cola poster. This poster was originally on cardboard which was becoming increasingly at risk of damage given the brittleness which eventually could have caused irreparable damage to the image. We sent poster to Jaimie Mendez Restoration Studio to be removed from decaying cardboard, stabilized and then linen backed. Linen backing (actually acid free cotton canvas fabric) is a pricey conservation method used to mount and preserve vintage posters so they can be displayed or framed without compromising their intrinsic value. Antique posters/paper are stabilized through de-acidification as the acids within the printing inks can disintegrate the original paper over time. This is done through a restoration process of chemical baths to protect the poster from any further "corrosion" and removing it from the equally damaging effects of the original card board backing. Linen backing holds the poster flat and smooth allowing it to be easily handled, stored or framed. The result proved nothing less than remarkable. The poster is intact with just a few areas of touch up, primarily an 8" fissure below the "y" of anniversary which was caused by the cardboard beginning to exhibit stress that while evident, is now significantly minimized in appearance. The poster now displays beautifully. The colors are deep and vivid, the image itself of two women in swimsuits representing the old and the new spanning the first 50 years of Coca-Cola is absolutely wonderful. A significant addition to any collector of Coca-Cola, now restored for the next generations of Coca-Cola collectors. Poster measures 50 x 30" with an additional one inch of backing surrounding the original paper for ease of framing and handling. Rare and desirable for any level of collector.
